Phoenix - June 30, 2008 - Veryant, the COBOL and Java technology innovator, today announced the appointments of Alfredo Iglesias as vice president of business development and Dovid Lubin as vice president of technical operations. With more than 30 years of combined expertise in COBOL application development and legacy modernization, they will play key roles in the continued growth of Veryant.
“Alfredo and Dovid bring a wealth of sales and technical experience to Veryant at a time when we are rapidly expanding our worldwide presence,” said Massimo Bertoli, president of Veryant’s Italian offices. “Their combined knowledge of COBOL and Java, and customer requirements, make them valuable additions to the Veryant team.”
Iglesias will lead Veryant’s global operations in sales, channels, and marketing. Prior to joining Veryant, he was a senior business development manager for Clerity Solutions, Inc. Before his role at Clerity, Iglesias spent five years at Acucorp, focused on business development and engineering, where he increased market share and expanded strategic partnerships in Latin America.
“isCOBOL technology from Veryant brings choice back to the COBOL market, meaning greater value and return on investment for customers,” explained Iglesias. “We will focus on revenue growth and key partnerships to take Veryant’s compelling offer to the next level.”
Lubin will lead product development and technical services, providing product direction and leadership for the development of isCOBOL Application Platform Suite (isCOBOL APS). He has more than 16 years of experience with COBOL and exposure to several COBOL dialects. Lubin recently served as vice president of product development for Acucorp and was the senior architect behind several products and features, including thin client and Web services offerings.
