Question:

I understand that the isCOBOL IDE is based on Eclipse. I guess is that I had better get up to speed on using Eclipse. What would be a good resource for that? Can you recommend a book?

Answer:

The most up-to-date documentation, training and tutorials for Eclipse are available on the web athttp://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/ and http://www.eclipse.org/resources/

Check out the resource in the Getting Started section at http://www.eclipse.org/resources/?category=Getting%20Started

The two books which you will probably find the most useful are:

Eclipse IDE Pocket Guide - Aug 12, 2005
http://www.amazon.com/Eclipse-IDE-Pocket-Guide-Burnette/dp/0596100655/
http://books.google.com/books?q=Eclipse+IDE+Pocket+Guide

Eclipse Distilled - Feb 24, 2005
http://www.amazon.com/Eclipse-Distilled-David-Carlson/dp/0321288157/
http://books.google.com/books?q=eclipse+distilled

Another slightly older but useful book is:

Professional Eclipse 3 for Java Developers - Nov 10, 2004
