Web utilities
The following Web utilities can be reached via HTTP or HTTPS and used within your favourite web browser:
To use these utilities, the Faircom’s Web Server must be started and listening.
To start the Faircom’s Web Server, change to the folder “tools/tools.web” and run the command:
Note - The Faircom’s Web Server is currently available only for the Windows 64 bit platform and the Linux 64 bit platform. On Windows the fcWebServer command offers some options to create and manage the Web Server as a service.
After a successful startup, the Faicom’s Web Server listens for standard HTTP connections on the port 8080 and for secure HTTP connections on the port 8443.
Note - The default ports can be changed by editing the cthttpd.json file under the “tools/tools.web/config” folder.
Navigate either to “http://localhost:8080” or to “https://localhost:8443” with your favourite web browser to obtain the list of available utilities:
Note - replace “localhost” with the server IP if you’re connecting from a remote PC.
The Faircom’s Web Server can be started on the same machine as the c-tree Server as well as on a different machine. The utilities prompt you for connection details at startup:
