What are the Java version requirements on the client and server? Do they need to match?

You can check the Java versions supported by your isCOBOL installation in our documentation under the "Getting Started" section.

The Java versions do not need to match when running in thin client. The client can have a later version or an early version than the server.

There are times when the Java version must match.
